This is Colt at 3 months old. I just love the personality coming out of him already. It is crazy how much a baby changes every 3 months. That is why we recommend documenting this change every 3 months for the first 2 years. Then a session every six months should be enough.

The tea house has a really low key vibe and the people there were super nice. I know it isn't the easiest to kiss and act cute while people are watching but this couple pulled it off. Their love of each other and their love of tea made for a great session. We really look forward to their wedding!

It's not often that we toot our own horns but I just wanted to say congrats to my wife for winning, not only first place in Children's and Unclassified categories at a print contest for Metro Professional Photographers Association, she also took home a trophy for First Time Entry, High Point Case (basically, she had the highest points overall for first time entrants). I am so proud of her. I also picked up a first place ribbon in Electronic and Women's. We have included the photos below:

What a beautiful bride. Richelle wanted to showcase her dress against the University of Oklahoma campus. Her best friend and maiden of honor, Brynn, helped her with her dress. Richelle's bridal session went so well, we even got to shoot in one of the Union's ballrooms. However, the strongest memory I have is bride and maiden lamenting, 'I sure could use a beer." Our session started at 10 in the morning.

My wife got me the best birthday present ever! I have talked about racing cars for years, and on March 14th this dream came true. It was the anniversary of our wedding, perfect. The wet track conditions could not wipe the smile off my face. Driving one of my dream cars that fast was an unreal experience that I will remember forever. Aaaaaat Laaaast! Eli and Stephanie's engagement photos are up, at last! Melanie and I met Stephanie and Eli at OU to take their engagement photos. They were anxious to have fun photos that truly showed their unique identity as a couple. Together, we came up with several locations, including a bench of particular importance to them. They were so fun to photograph and we even found several new fun photographic spots. They got married this past Saturday and I enjoyed every moment. Their wedding photos will soon be posted.

Coffee Table Books

As my wife, Melanie, and I come to the close of a very blessed year, we are wrapping up coffee table books from several of our recent weddings. Melanie does most of the work on them. I love to watch her work. She says that each wedding is unique and she tries to portray that with every book she designs.
These are a few pages from Chase and Jennifer's book. Melanie said that she felt a very calm, chic vibe at their wedding and hopes her pages reflect it. She also said she doesn't like to show individual pages since the book tells a story and only gave me three to post for your enjoyment.

Night Shots

This is Steve, my brother-in-law. He was nice enough to go with me downtown the other night to practice some night photography. Since daylight is leaving us earlier and earlier, I wanted to show that we can still go out get some great shots when its dark. I love the look of downtown at night, all the lights, just way cool. Lizzy and Amanda are both seniors from Ada. Lizzy found me through myspace, and liked the downtown look so she booked a session for her and her friend. It was a cold morning and it was good Lizzy's boyfriend was there to keep her warm. Amanda and I just had to struggle through the cold. These two were so much fun to photograph, and I love that Amanda brought her guitar with her. We got some great CD covers. LOL.

This time around, I had the opportunity to photograph their family, too. It was a nice afternoon in Kingfisher and this family showed up proudly sporting their John Deere hoodies. Everyone ended up enjoying the afternoon, especially me.
